Yoosee app upgrades to version 00.46.03.00, the new version app adopts sharing algorithm to secure your camera. The admin can use the QR code to share the device, only shared users can access your camera. The app will automatically create a guest password which only has watching video permission. Here, we write a tutorial to explain how it works, and how to use this new function.
Please note the sharing function will take effect only after you reset your Wi-Fi camera.
1. If you have already set it up, and wish to use the sharing function, you need to reset your Wi-Fi camera.
After reset the camera, login Yoosee app on your smartphone, choosing "Add new device" to set it up.
When it has established the Wi-Fi setting/connection, it will require the password, please use the default password - 123.
After complete adding the camera to your smartphone, the camera will appear in your app's list.
Now, you will find a sharing button float on device's screenshot.
2. Sharing the camera with other people
Click the sharing button, it will go to "Sharing management", where it offers sharing information and QR code to allow other users to add it by scanning this QR code.
Other smartphone to add the cameras via shared QR code/link information.
Accessing the camera's settings, you will find a new option "Unbind devices", don't unbind the device, unless you want to delete the camera from your account.
Your camera will bind with your account, only this account can set the camera, even the camera is reset by other people. This means if your camera is stolen by someone else, they are not able to us it.
"The camera has been bundled by other account, please unbundle it firstly before using"
After click "unbind devices", the camera will be deleted from your account, there is no way to add the camera again, unless you reset the camera then start configuration over again. As long as the camera is unbundled, other people can reset the camera and set it up.
After login Yoosee app, click scan button on the top of device list page.
Using your camera to scan the QR code shared by the admin, the app will read the QR code and automatically fill the device info.
3. Guest access by using ID and password.
Tap "Settings" , you can access the setting menu, the old "security setting" no longer exist.
Tap "Device information", you will find a visitor password.
The guest can use this password to add your camera.
Other people login his/her own Yoosee account, click "+" icon, then choose "Add online device", entering camera's ID and the guest password, they can add the camera and watch the video.
