Hi

Is it possible to view a Yoosee IP Camera from a MacBook?

You can only download CMS Client to Windows therefore can't view on MacBook.

I believe CMS is also required to get the cameras IP.

Kind Regards

Zenon

If you just locally access the camera on MacBook, you can download/use the XM VMS software.
This VMS is compatible with Mac OS computers.

1. Login the software with default account (admin, admin).
2. Go to "Device Manager", Click "IPV4 Search" to discover the new devices.
3. If the software can discover the new devices, click it, then modify the default account info.
4. If the software can not discover the Yoosee cameras, you can manually add the camera by using the below information:
  • Device Name: your customized name.
  • Group: Default Group
  • Login Type: IP/Domain
  • IP/Domain: your IP camera's IP address e.g. 192.168.0.10
  • Port: 5000
  • UserName: admin
  • Password: 123 (your new password)
  • Vendor: Onvif

Many thanks Jackie!

How do you know what the Camera's IP address is?

There is another easy to access the Yoosee camera on Macbook, you can simply play RTSP video stream on your QuickTime player.
The Yoosee RTSP URL is:
Code:
rtsp://IPaddress:554/onvif1
rtsp://IPaddress:554/onvif2

1. Modify your QuickTime's preference settings:

2. Copy the RTSP URL, paste it in your QuickTime

If you wanna know the full tutorial, you can read this article, it also shows how to play RTSP URL by using VLC media player.
