    Flat Panel Solar Energy Absorber

The solar absorber panel is the main part responsible for absorbing solar radiation energy into heat energy and transferring heat to the water in the solar water heater system. The choice of material, structure and surface coating of the heat absorption core has a decisive influence on the performance of the water heater. Requirements for heat absorbing panels are to be able to withstand certain pressure, be compatible with water, and have high thermal efficiency.

    1. Structure of flat plate collector:

Unlike oil tube and vacuum tube solar water heaters, flat plate collectors have heat absorbing components in the form of flat plates protected by a layer of sturdy tempered glass. The absorbed heat is transferred to the hot water tank, also known as the insulated tank, in many different ways (by water pipes, copper pipes or by refrigerant pipes,...). The flat plate can heat water in a short time, saving significant time when in use.

Heat absorbing flat panels are composed of:

    • Tempered glass layer resists impact forces.

    • Tempered glass layer increases heat absorption performance.

    • Insulation layer to increase heating efficiency.

    • The frame surrounding the collector plate is made from high-quality aluminum alloy.

    • Inside the flat plate there are copper tubes used for heat exchange.

With Avil technology, using the LASER welding line strengthens the connection between the absorber tube and the riser tube, increasing the lifespan of the solar absorber panel for a longer time.

The distance between two LASER welding points is 3mm, the more welding points, the higher the load transfer to the system.

    2. Principle of Operation:

To produce hot water, water from the storage tank flows down to the flat panel. The flat panel of the device absorbs energy from the sun and heats the water.

The water is then transported back to the storage tank based on the principle of natural thermal convection. This means that the hotter water moves up to the storage tank, while the cooler water tends to move down to the flat panel for heating.

This process continues to repeat until the temperature of the water in the storage tank and the flat panel is balanced.
