Activating timer schedule via a scene

For one of my devices I have created a seven day timer to turn it on and off at specific times. It's a bit annoying that there seems to be no way to turn this whole schedule on/ off with one click. Instead you seem to have enable/disable each on/off periods individually or have I missed something? The other thing I want to do is activate this timer schedule using a scene. Is there a way to do that?
