Thermostat control vis Google assistant

Hi,
I've set up my Moesgo thermostat/Smart Life app to work with Google assistant and all seems ok.
However if the thermostat is
- in programmable mode
-and the heating is not due to be on but I would like to override this
then I instruct Google assistant "Hey Google switch to manual mode" it does not understand.

I've also tried "Hey Google turn the heating on" but it does not understand.

Can I override the programmable mode via Google assistant?
