Hi-
I finally got around to installing the last three Hikvision bullet cameras on my detached garage. I ran all of the wiring for the cams and hooked them up to a Trendnet 8 port POE switch. My garage is detached, so I figured that I would try one of those power line adapters (specifically a TP-Link TL-PA511 500 Mbps)
I had to move the unit in the garage, because the first outlet I selected showed no link to the other unit in my office. I found an outlet that did show a link, but the speed is slooooowwww. BI is telling me that each of the three cams are running around 3 fps.
Any alternatives to connecting these three cameras to my security camera network? The span between the house and the garage is around 10 ft.
Thanks.
