Some Hikvision IP cameras come with audio input and output design, this enables people to monitor and record audio. On the webpage of the Hikvision IP camera, click "Advanced configuration", then select "Video/Audio", on Audio tab, you are able to select the audio input sources.
It offers two options:
MicIn = microphone in, select it if you using an Electret condenser microphone. In this way, the MicIn port can provide power supply to the microphone.
LineIn = select it when audio input connects an amplified microphone, or other audio devices that come with AUX output. These microphones and audio devices usually need separate power supply.
