A power adapter is one of important accessories for your Wi-Fi cameras. It plays a crucial role to allow your camera work properly. Choosing the right power adapter can not only make your Yoosee work, but also can provide a high reliability to your camera system. A poor quality power adapter can be easily damaged also may cause a huge damage to your camera or catching fire. In this article, we share some information on the power adapter, it may help you to choose a right power adapter if you lost it or wanna replace a defective one.

Indoor Yoosee Wi-Fi cameras:
Indoor Yoosee cameras usually use a 5V DC 2A specification AC/DC power adapter equipped with a standard USB port.

In our test, a normal iPhone power adapter (5V DC 1A or 1.1A) can work with Wi-Fi cube cameras, but can not work with Pan/Tilt Wi-Fi cameras.

Outdoor Yoosee Wi-Fi Camera:
Outdoor Yoosee Wi-Fi camera uses a output 12V DC 1.5A power adapter. This means you can connect it with your existing professional IP camera system.

This adapter is a high quality 12V 1.5A power adapter, it comes with a good quality male DC connector

This is a male DC connector from a cheap DC12V power adapter. When we select power adapters for IP cameras, we should avoid using this type of power adapter. Because likely the connector is not able to contact firmly with your camera's female DC input.

In rare case, if you use this type of power adapter, your IP camera can not get the power supply from the power adapter.

Please note: We highly recommend users to plug the AC/DC power adapters to a power surge protector, it's mandatory if you install the cameras in outdoor.
