Some people concern the app's privacy policy.
The App and remote server will store your registered info (phone number or email address), so that you can login the app. Besides, it doesn't store anything, the App does require some permissions to allow the app run some specific functions such as using your microphone, store video/images to your iPhone's album etc.
Your account is just an ID, which means if you lost your password or account, basically you can't retrieve it. For some people are very suspicious about App's privacy, they can use fake email address (not duplicated in remote server's database) or any phone number to register an account.
The company will not inquiry, use, sell, re-distribute the account info. So, if you lost your account or forgot password, don't contact us, we can't retrieve it back!
The App and camera utilizes the P2P connection technology, not the cloud storage. The remote server performs as the information (your camera's IP address and port info, media info) relay or bridge between the camera and app. And the connection info is encrypted to sure the connection.
To simplify this, the camera will upload camera's IP address and port info to the remote server, when users use the App to access camera, the App will download these info to establish the connection, the process is the same like DDNS (dynamic domain name service), the only difference is P2P can do port mapping/forwarding automatically on your router. This means, the remote sever doesn't transmit video streams. But if you use the cloud storage, the remote server will store your videos and do video streaming.
Lastly, if you contact us via our website's contact us form or you registered an account in this forum, we will reply your email or send you new emails about the app's update, related product's info. But we will not sell/redistribute your email info.
