Why can't I be connected to another WIFI and still be live on the camera? Also how do I turn on notifications so I get alerts when there is motion or sound?

If you can't access the camera when your smartphone switched to another WiFi, you can do the things as below:
1. Go to camera's settings to upgrade the camera's firmware to the latest version.
2. Using the CMSClient software to assign a fixed IP address to the camera (as default the camera automatically obtain the IP address from the router (router's DHCP function).
3. If possible, try to use the wired Ethernet connection (connect the camera to the router through an Ethernet cable).
To receive the notifications, you should enable [Receive warning message].
