In 2015 Shenzhen CPSE expo, Hisilicon published Hi3519 SoC which is dedicated for 4K resolution security network cameras and Sports camera, the Hi3519 integrates the latest 4K ultra high definition technology, can work with up to 16 megapixel CMOS image sensor, is able to 4K@30fps video encoding with H.265 video compression format. In addition to impressive 4K resolution and H.264 encoding, Hi3519 chip supports multi-frame wide dynamic range and 3D dynamic noise reduction,and comes with Huawai IoT Lite OS.
Hi3519 is based on its predecessor Hi3518 (Hi3518C and Hi3518E), however ,the next-generation Hi3519 support more sufficient imaging processing and video encoding. Hi3518 adopts digital wide dynamic range, noise reduction limits to 2D, Hi3519 can support multi-frame wide dynamic range and 3D dynamic noise reduction. The new ISP technology also supports extreme low light and high dynamic range imaging, defog, fish lens correction etc functions to provide the optimum image resolution.
It's undeniable that intelligent video surveillance (IVS) is today's trend in the market. Hisilicon Hi3519 uses a special processor with Hi-IVE architecture, so only 50% of the processor load to achieve complex intelligent video analysis. This can not only meet the needs of intelligent video analysis, but also greatly reduce the processor performance requirements, the system can use low-performance processors and greatly reduce the power consumption in order to reduce the cost of the final product.
In May, 2015, Huawei unveiled its Internet of Things (IoT) OS - Lite OS, Lite OS is a 10KB lightweight operating system with zero configuration, ad hoc network, cross-platform capabilities, supports ultra-low power consumption, it can be widely used in smart home, wearable, intelligent automotive, and industrial fields, Lite OS operation system makes intelligent hardware development easier and speed up the target to connect all things. In terms of security, Lite OS operating system includes a security component to secure communications between the sensors and systems, using Huawei Lite OS operating system with new Hi3519 chip system can be applied to security cameras, professional sports cameras, and portable high-definition camera, Hi3519 enables manufacturers to develop low-power characteristics of popular products.
