1080P or HDTV network cameras become the mainstream in today's video surveillance applications. Dahua, one of leading video surveillance camera manufacturers, released the DH-IPC-HF8281E, which is a full HD 1080p IP camera features high definition resolution, digital image stabilization, defog, smart car license plate number recognition etc intelligent video analytics.
DH-IPC-HF8281E is a white box network camera that supports CS/CS mount lens, this allows user to choose different specification lens for specific video surveillance requirement. Auto-Iris port can be found on its right side, the Auto-Iris can adjust the lens's aperture automatically in order to obtain sufficient light. You can find Dahua logo and icons that show the features of this camera on both sides.
Looking at its rear panel, we can find it has many versatile I/O interface to achieve video surveillance + alarm linkage function; you can find the ABF button, Reset button, Three status lED indicators, and microSDHC slot to offer 128GB on-board video storage, RJ45 port, Audio input/put. One important thing, this camera's BNC video output can offer analog, HD-CVI and HD-SDI three video format.
Apparently, DH-IPC-HF8281E is a high-end network camera, when install it inside weatherproof camera housing, it can withstand harsh weather conditions such as raining, sandy, snowing, foggy. So, it can be used as vehicle license plate number recoginition application, it also offers crossing lane detection, offers corride mode (9:16 video aspect ratio), digital image stabilization, sound detection; ABF built-in to support fast focus.
In real test, we set the camera's video parameter to 1080P@25fps, bandwidth = 4Mbps
Resolution
Making the camera aim at resolution testing card, through image capturing, we find its horizontal resolution can reach 1100TVL, vertical resolution is 1000TVL, and edge resolution is 900TVL.
Color reproduction and grayscale
Thereafter making the camera aim at 24' color testing card, after the measurement, we find the captured image has correct color reproduction, and its recognizable grayscale can reach up to 19, 20 grade, quite excellent.
